GOSIA BIERNACKA
Romana’s Pilates Level V
Kinetic Pilates Instructor
Gosia completed her Master's Degree in Marketing and Management at the University of Szczecin in Poland in 1994. She worked in a bank for a number of years, where after having spent the day sitting at work, she would rush to the local gym for yoga, aerobics, Body Pump etc. back when Pilates wasn't as well known in Poland as it is now. Already then she realised, to quote Joe; that "physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.". As a result, she retrained and worked as an aerobic Instructor, but due to the physical demands of the job she ended up in a lot of pain, struggling to even walk. She was first introduced to Pilates in London in 2004 at a local Leisure Centre and straight away was hooked. After 9 years of taking classes, she decided to train as a Mat Pilates teacher, but she always had the feeling that something is "missing". She began participating in Pilates workshops in various studios around London and one day found Kinetic Pilates. She finally felt she had found what she was looking for, not to mention all the different types of Pilates equipment! This new depth of practice visibly changed her body, helped her to build strength, and after only 1 year of training on the equipment, she had grown 1 cm taller!
As well as being passionate about Pilates, Gosia enjoys many other forms of physical activity including Volleyball. Aikido, Karate, Krav Maga, Hiking and Kayaking.
She truly believes that Pilates is good for everyone and is motivated to help others embark on their Pilates journey.
