Here is a great video of the full advanced classical matwork that we teach. Normally the exercises have more repetitions, but here there is just one to demonstrate. James trained in the same studio as Jean Claude.
How very interesting. This man is outstanding at the Art of Control.
Does James know Jean Claude Nelson personally, and did he actually train with him?
Thank you.

Jean Claude trained before I started. Frankly the bar is so high at The Pilates Studio, Den Haag that they have normal clients in the daytime group mat classes who are more advanced than the average pilates teacher.

Thank you for replying.
I am intrigued to hear about the standard being so high in the normal group mat classes at the studio you speak about in DEN HAAG. Are the students from a dance background or sports, or are they just ordinary people? Why is the standard of matwork so high in your view?
I ask so many questions, simply because the mat is my interest and I constantly seek out tools to help me improve. Does the DEN HAAG have a video of their mat class for example?
Thank you very much.

The reason that the studio in The Hague has such a high standard is that it has been established for a long time and two of Europe´s top teachers are based there. Many of the advanced mat clients come for private sessions every week and the class is very well established. I did my training in Holland rather than France for exactly this reason.
They are ordinary people who have been doing very serious training for a long time. There are no videos - the nearest thing is the video of Jean Claude.
I understand where you are coming from about ordinary people who train regularly and for a long period of time.
I choose not to believe or accept that there simply are no videos out there! Not everyone, has the opportunity to train with these top Instructors, and so we are have to be resourceful.
Classical Pilates is very expensive. Joe and Clara never intended this. I believe this will change, especially, given the economic climate going forward.
I was hoping you would have the answer!
Thank you.
